About
I am passionate about providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to patients of all ages. My approach to therapy is based on the T.E.A.M.-CBT model developed by Dr. David Burns at Stanford University School of Medicine. After training extensively at Stanford with Dr. Burns and his group for several years, I have returned to New York City as one of the leading practicioners and trainers of the T.E.A.M therapy model.
While the original T.E.A.M. model was developed for work with adults, I am one of few practicioners who has successfully adapted this model for use with children and adolescents. As an expert in the field, I currently lead an online training group focused on teaching other therapists across the United States how to utilize T.E.A.M. therapy with children and adolescents. I also lead a Manhattan T.E.A.M. Therapy Practice Group, and I provide one-on-one consultation and training for mental health professionals interested pursuing certification in T.E.A.M. Therapy.
My therapeutic approach also incorporates my extensive background in psychodynamic therapy and my experience providing therapy and cognitive assessment in both private practice and hospital settings, as well as school settings. I am an active member of the American Psychological Assocation (APA) and the New York City Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Association (NYC-CBT).
I live (and work) on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with my husband, two children, and our dog.
